The Mouse Stops Here is a blog with the goal of connecting Disney fans from all over. The blog is mainly run by me, Ellie, with help from some friends that are more tech-savvy than I. I am a huge Disney fan and spend much of my day to day life following Disney news, so why not share what I find with others?
I first got the idea to start this blog while shopping with my husband. Wherever we go, I found myself on the hunt for anything related to Disney. Sometimes I would find some really cool antiques. Or I would be so excited about a new line of merchandise at the Disney Store. This blog will focus heavily on Disney merchandise and The Disney Store, but will also branch out to include almost anything related to the Walt Disney Company including history, art, trip reports, and movie reviews.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What does “The Mouse Stops Here” mean?
“The Mouse Stops Here” is a play on the saying “the buck stops here.” The meaning of that phrase suggests that responsibility for something will not pass on to someone else. My hope is that this blog will become a stomping ground for Disney fans to connect with each other, get the latest Disney news, and check in on Disney trends.
How often will you update?
Expect at least two blog posts a week and regular updates on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Why do you love Disney so much?
Disney has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From childhood toys to moral lessons from films, Disney films and products have this unique ability to make an impression on almost anyone. We tend to outgrow a lot of things from our childhood. For me, Disney was something I never outgrew. There is so much to love and appreciate about this magical franchise.
What non-Disney things are you interested in?
If I were to give you a list, it would be: history, art, hockey, dogs, and music. Surprisingly, Disney is often integrated with all of those things. You can expect to find posts that are Disney centric but connect with some of my other interests too.
